DIGITAL MAGAZINE MAKER
Make a digital magazine, not a file
Start from the pages you have — a designed PDF, a deck, a document exported to print — and end with a magazine that opens in a browser, reads well on a phone and tells you what got read.
- Free for your first three issues
- Cover, colour and reader in your brand
- Retention, links and readers measured
What a magazine maker should and should not do for you
A tool that promises to design the magazine for you usually delivers something that looks like the tool. Magazine Flip does the opposite: it assumes the pages are yours and takes over from the moment they are finished. You bring the layout — from InDesign, Affinity, Canva, Illustrator, Word, anything that exports pages — and the maker handles the part that is genuinely hard on your own: a reader that behaves on every screen, an address that survives corrections, and a record of what people actually read. If you have no design at all yet, a template-first editor is the better starting point, and we would rather say so than sell you the wrong tool.
From finished pages to a published issue
Upload, choose a preset, publish. The preset sets the background, the accent colour and whether the issue collects contact details, and everything in it can be overridden: cover, logo, favicon, the colour of the page-turn controls. The free plan carries three active publications with no card, no advertising and no watermark across your pages, which is enough to put a real issue in front of real readers before deciding anything. When issue four arrives, unpublishing an old one frees the slot, or a plan raises the limit to 50 or 250.
Publishing on a schedule instead of once
A magazine is a habit, and habits break on friction. Each issue gets its own link, its own embed and its own QR code, so a series can live at predictable addresses and a printed piece can point at the current one. Corrections replace the file without changing the link, which matters more for a periodical than for a one-off: a typo caught after distribution is a re-upload rather than a retraction. And because retention is measured page by page across issues, you find out which sections readers finish and which ones they leave — the only feedback that improves the next issue rather than explaining the last one.
The outcome
An issue that is live at a link the same afternoon you finish the pages.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need design software to make a magazine?
No, but you do need pages. Magazine Flip publishes a finished layout; it does not design one for you. Anything that exports a PDF works.
Can I create a digital magazine free?
Yes. Three active publications on the free plan, with no card, no advertising and no watermark on your pages.
How many pages can an issue have?
100 pages on the free plan, 500 on Studio and 1,000 on Business.
Can readers open it on a phone?
Yes. The reader shows a single page on narrow screens and a two-page spread on wide ones.
Can I publish a new issue every month?
Yes. Each issue is its own publication with its own link, embed and QR code, and old issues can stay live or be unpublished to free a slot.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on the Business plan, together with a GA4 property of your own.
