Art direction that survives the browser

A lookbook is mostly photography, and photography is where conversions to the web usually go wrong — images crushed by compression, a viewer chrome that fights the palette, controls stacked over a face. The reader is built to recede: a neutral or dark surround you choose, controls that fade, and pages rendered at a size that respects the original crop. What the reader sees first is the image, not the interface around it.

Shoppable without looking like a shop

Buyers and press want different things from the same document, so the links are deliberately quiet. Place a labeled hotspot over a look — "shop the look", "view pieces", "collection notes" — sized and positioned where it does not interrupt the composition. Nothing sits permanently on the page as a badge or a price sticker, and you can change where a link points when the piece sells through.

Sending a collection to press and buyers

A season usually goes out twice: an unlisted, password-protected version for press and wholesale ahead of the date, then a public link when the campaign launches. Both can be the same document at different visibility settings, with an expiration date on the embargoed one. Analytics then tell you which looks the buyers actually returned to — a more useful line item than the size of the send list.

The outcome

A shoppable story that keeps the art direction intact.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep the design minimal?

Yes. Controls, background and branding can be configured around the work.

Can each look link to a product?

Yes. Place one or more labeled hotspots on any page.

Can agencies remove platform branding?

Yes, with a paid plan.

How do I share a lookbook under embargo?

Publish it unlisted with a password and an expiration date, then switch it to public on launch day.

Will the image quality hold up?

Export at print-adjacent quality and compress before uploading — up to 250 MB per file on Studio gives photography room to breathe.

Can I tell which looks performed?

Yes. Retention by page shows which looks were returned to, and hotspot clicks show which ones led somewhere.
